Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Web and Database Developer to design, develop, build, and maintain web-based data platforms that power our public-facing presentations of project and program activities and project dashboards, reporting systems, and internal tools. This is a hands-on role that involves both front-end and back-end development, focusing on creating robust, scalable, and user-friendly solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases, have proficiency in .NET frameworks, and other front-end and server-side frameworks.
This can either be a full-time position or contract engagement, ideally based in Chicago, Illinois, but remote candidates may be considered.

Required Qualifications • Proven experience in full-stack web development with a strong focus on database design and management. • Expertise in SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake). • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis). • Proficiency in .NET frameworks (e.g., ASP.NET, .NET Core). • Strong understanding of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue.js). • Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs. • Knowledge of database security best practices. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication and teamwork abilities. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Preferred Qualifications • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes. • Located in Chicago, Illinois.
