The Business Data Analyst will review, trend, and analyze campus energy consumption data to support utility billing and reporting functions within the University’s Facility Management Engineering and Energy (E&E) group. This role involves supporting data collection, internal and external reporting, evaluating data anomalies in utility consumption, and ensuring accurate billing of self-support units. Responsibilities also include managing building and property data needed for analysis.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience. Minimum of two years with large data sets or six years without a degree. Must have strong spreadsheet skills, including advanced Excel formulas and pivot tables. Experience in Microsoft Access for custom queries and reporting is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to analyze data and perform quality checks. Familiarity with utility/energy tracking data and higher education environments. Valid driver’s license required.
